The Knotfest Germany takes place on 30 July 2022 at Rudolf Weber-ARENA In Oberhausen.

WHERE DOES THE KNOTFEST GERMANY 2022 TAKE PLACE?
The Knotfest Germany is an open air & indoor festival. It takes place in the Rudolf Weber-ARENA as well as on the outdoor area – the parking lot P9. We have a mainstage outside and another stage indoors.

WHEN IS ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL SITE?
Admission for all ticket holders of a festival ticket GA starts at 14:00. In combination with an Early Entry Ticket you can already explore the outdoor area and the Slipknot Museum from 13:30. For the visit of the Slipknot Museum an additional Slipknot Museum Ticket is required.

Entry to the Slipknot Museum from 2 p.m. onwards is included in the ticket price for holders of VIP packages 1 or 2.


TICKETS

WHEN DOES THE PRE-SALE START FOR THE KNOTFEST GERMANY 2022?
The official pre-sale started on 14.12.2021 at 12:00.

Tickets for the Knotfest Germany are available through our official ticket partner Ticketmaster und here.

We advise you not to buy tickets via other platforms, often those tickets are offered at exorbitant prices, or they are ticket counterfeits.

We, as organizers of the Knotfest Germany, support the campaign “No! To the black market”. Therefore, we ask you to always purchase your tickets at the known ticket agencies or the official ticketing partners and not through other providers.

WHAT IS MY FESTIVAL TICKET VALID FOR?
With your festival ticket you have access to the open air area and the indoor area of the Knotfest on the respective day of validity.

The Knotfest headliners will play at a spectacular open air stage. The arena has a limited capacity, it is filled on a first come, first served basis. At full capacity of the arena, no further visitors can be admitted. The actual arena capacity will be continuously signaled on the open air site.

WHAT IS MY EARLY ENTRY TICKET VALID FOR?
The Early Entry Ticket is only valid in combination with the Festival Ticket and entitles you to enter the festival site earlier. This means, for Early Entry Ticket holders the outdoor area as well as the Slipknot Museum is already open at 1:30 pm. For the visit of the Slipknot Museum an additional Slipknot Museum Ticket is required. The Arena with the Indoor Stage opens at 2:00 pm.

WHAT IS MY SLIPKNOT MUSEUM TICKET VALID FOR?

The Slipknot Museum ticket only grants you entry to the museum. The Slipknot Museum ticket is only valid in combination with your festival ticket. Access to the festival site requires a festival ticket, which is available separately.
VIP package 1 or 2 and Upgrade 1 or 2 ticketholders do not need an additional Slipknot Museum ticket. Entry to the Slipknot Museum is already included in the ticket price.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE SLIPKNOT MUSEUM?
The Slipknot Museum is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience that allows fans to explore a visual history of Slipknot masks, artifacts, and memorabilia. Filled with never-before-seen personal items, stage-worn attire, interactive instrument elements, and photo opportunities, this exhibit is a uniquely personal addition to the Knotfest experience you don’t want to miss.

WHAT ARE THE OPENING TIMES FOR THE SLIPKNOT MUSEUM?
The Slipknot Museum is open from 2 p.m. onwards for all attendees with a Slipknot Museum ticket or a VIP 1 or 2 / VIP Upgrade 1 or 2 ticket. Holders of Early Entry tickets can visit the museum from 1:30 p.m. onwards. The museum closes at 9 p.m.

TICKETS FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES
At Knotfest Germany, there will be a barrier-free check-in, barrier-free toilets as well as special parking lots designated to wheelchair users.

Tickets for attendees with disabilities with companion are available via the Ticketmaster customer service.

I BOUGHT KNOTFEST GERMANY 2022 TICKETS. WHY IS MY NAME ON EVERY TICKET?
The buyer personalization is a security measure to curb the ticket black market. Therefore, the name of the purchaser appears on all eTickets.

ALL THE KNOTFEST GERMANY 2022 TICKETS I BOUGHT HAVE MY NAME ON THEM. WHAT DO I HAVE TO CONSIDER AT THE ENTRANCE?All tickets purchased by you are registered to you through the buyer personalization. This means that you must go to the entrance together with your friends and/or family. At the entrance you usually have to show an identification document to get access to the festival site.

If you bought the tickets as a gift or you can’t travel together, the ticket buyer has to make a ticket transfer.

HOW CAN I TRANSFER MY KNOTFEST GERMANY 2022 TICKET IF WE DO NOT TRAVEL TOGETHER TO THE FESTIVAL, IF I BOUGHT THE TICKET AS A PRESENT OR IF I AM PREVENTED FROM GOING TO THE FESTIVAL?

You can easily transfer tickets to friends. To do so, log in to your Ticketmaster account, click on the order number and then use the ticket transfer button next to your tickets.

HOW DOES THE TICKET TRANSFER WORK?

WHY IS MY CONTACT DATA COLLECTED WHEN I PURCHASE THE TICKETS?

Due to the current legal requirements for contact data collection of event visitors for the purpose of tracking in case of SARS-CoV-2 infection, the ticket purchaser is obliged to provide the contact data of the individual ticket users to the event organizer. As soon as the legal requirements for the specific event period have been determined, Ticketmaster will contact the ticket purchasers for the purpose of collecting the necessary data.

MOBILE LOCKERS
Our partner Mobile Locker has provided you with mobile lockers at entrances A and B, and on the open-air site.

For a fee, you can use these to deposit any valuables and items of property that you don’t want to keep with you while you’re on the event site (e.g. car keys, house keys, sunglasses, medication, small rucksacks, bags, jackets, electronic devices etc.). All mobile lockers are equipped with power supplies. There is enough power to charge your phone, camera, powerbank or similar devices. When booking your mobile locker, please note there are two sizes available: small and large.

The mobile lockers are situated at entrances A and B, as well as at P9 on the open-air site, in the rear section. The lockers are available to you throughout event day, from 10 a.m. to midnight.

We have put together some information to help you best plan your arrival. Please use preferably public transport!

ARRIVING BY TRAIN
Deutsche Bahn’s general travel information service: 01805 99 66 33 (14 ct/min. from a landline, mobile charge max. 42 ct/min.) or by visiting http://www.bahn.de. The IC/ICE long-distance railway stations Oberhausen Hbf, Essen Hbf and Dortmund Hbf are located in the VRR area, from where the onward journey is already included in the festival ticket.

ARRIVING WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The festival site is within walking distance of the “Oberhausen Neue Mitte” bus and tram stop.

Please note the following information for your journey home: You can find up-to-date information here for departures from “Neue Mitte”.

Exit A to the south of the arena takes you to “Neue Mitte” for journeys in the direction of Oberhausen Zentrum. Exit B to the north of the arena takes you to the car parks and “Neue Mitte” for journeys in the direction of Oberhausen Nord. At “Neue Mitte”, there will be departures management in place for journeys in both directions. Please follow the instructions of the festival stewards.

Journey time to Oberhausen main station is 5-10 minutes, depending on the route

ARRIVING BY CAR
Due to its central location in the Ruhr area, the Rudolf Weber-ARENA offers excellent travel options. If you travel by car, use the densely networked highway system of the Ruhr area. The Rudolf Weber-ARENA can be reached quickly via the Oberhausen road network and the A42 freeway (exit “Neue Mitte”). Oberhausen also has twelve freeway junctions in the immediate vicinity of the ARENA. The most important of these are: A2, A3, A40, A42, A516.

From the north:
Please use the A2 or A1 to get to the A42.

From the south:
Please use the A3 to get to the A42.

From the east:
Please use the A44 and the A40 to get to the A42.

From the West:
Please use the A2 and A44 to get to the A42.

Please use the carpooling services at www.drive2day.de, www.flinc.org and www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de!

PARKING
In the immediate vicinity of the Rudolf Weber-ARENA, more than 10,000 free parking spaces are available for the festival in the parking garages P1 to P7. From there P1 to P7 you can reach the ARENA within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

Please park your vehicles only in proper (i.e. designated for your vehicle) parking spaces. Incorrectly parked vehicles (including those in handicapped parking spaces) will be removed immediately.

Please allow time for parking, getting to the festival site, and ticket swaps. In order to get to the event stress-free, we recommend arriving early, about 90-120 minutes before the first band you want to see is on the schedule.

FESTIVAL SITE

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE FESTIVAL AREA
Before entering the festival area for the first time, the tickets will be completely validated. When leaving the premises during the event, the visitor will receive an exit ticket or an exit wristband. To reenter the festival area, the undamaged exit ticket or wristband must be presented together with the validated admission ticket, otherwise there is no entitlement to renewed admission.

Alternatively, the organizer may decide to put on and/or hand out a wristband to each visitor before they enter the festival area for the first time. This replaces an exit ticket or an exit wristband and must be worn undamaged at all times during the event together with the admission ticket.

BARRIER-FREE ACCESS
The Knotfest Germany provides barrier-free access and barrier-free toilets as well as special parking lots assigned to wheelchair users.

Tickets for wheelchair users and disabled persons accompanied by an escort are available exclusively through the Ticketmaster Customer Service. You can reach the Ticketmaster customer service daily between 10:00 – 16:00 by calling +49 (0)30 – 40 818 824.

NO CAMPING
The festival will take place without camping. There is also no parking for RVs on site. If you are looking for a place to stay, we recommend the TRAVEL PACKAGES.

CASHPOINTS AND CARD PAYMENTS
Card payments are possible at all stands in the arena. On the open-air site, card payments are only possible at the merchandising stands. For this reason, please remember to get enough cash for the day of the festival. There are two cashpoints outside the festival site at the “NEUE MITTE” public transport stop and in the Centro shopping centre.

MERCHANDISE
Festival merchandise will be sold exclusively on site on the day of the festival. There will not be an online shop afterwards.

SECURITY
We have summarized information about festival security in a separate text, which you can find here: Security.

In your own interest, you must follow the instructions of the security staff and the police. You will recognize the security staff by their color-coded vests. They are also your contact persons in case of questions or problems!

CAN I WEAR A SLIPKNOT MASK ON THE FESTIVAL SITE?
Due to the safety regulations, the wearing of helmets, masks and/or disguises is not permitted on the festival site. This does not include the commercially customary face mask for hygienic purposes. Please check our terms and conditions under “III House rules of the festival site”, point 5 “Security checks/ prohibited and permitted items”.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
We offer a variety of food and beverages at the Knotfest Germany Festival. It is prohibited to bring glass containers of any kind, canisters, glass bottles, cans, PET bottles and / or other drinking containers, your own groceries, food and / or drinks, hard packaging, cool bags or other heavy containers to the festival area.

You may bring empty, collapsible drinking bottles (500ml) onto the festival site.

DRINKING WATER TAPS
There are free drinking water taps on the festival grounds. There you can fill up your collapsible water bottles.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS
Children under the age of 8 are not allowed to be admitted to the event site, even if they are accompanied by a custodial person. Children between the ages from 8 to 16 may only attend the concerts if accompanied by a custodial person or by a person acting with parental authority and each of them are in possession of a valid admission ticket. For young people aged 16 years and over, admission to concerts and musical performances until midnight is approved when unaccompanied by a guardian or person acting with parental authority. The written parental consent / authorisation has to be presented upon entry.

“Persons acting with parental authority” must satisfy the following requirements:

  • the person has reached the age of 18
  • the person can display a proxy of a custodial person stating that the person is acting with consent of the custodial person, a copy of the ID card of the custodial person has to be displayed along with the proxy, too
  • the person can display the maturity required to be able to responsibly provide a child with the support necessary in the situation,
  • able to ensure the child will get home.

FIRST AID
Paramedics will be on duty at the festival site.

NOISE PROTECTION
At concerts, there may be a risk of possible hearing and health damage due to the sound volume. The use of hearing protection is strongly recommended, especially near the stages.

PHOTOGRAPHY / SOUND AND VIDEO RECORDING
Photography for private use is permitted. Only 35 mm cameras and cell phones with camera function are allowed on the site. It is not permitted to bring SLR cameras, cameras with zoom lenses or with video function of any kind. Video cameras and audio recording devices of any kind such as tape recorders, MP3 recorders and dictaphones are also prohibited. Recordings of any kind are prohibited without explicit permission from the organizer / artist.

ANIMALS
It is forbidden to bring animals.
